Cheddar Quick Bread
Yield: 10-12 servings

Ingredients
2 C flour
1 T Pioneer or Big Chief Sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 C butter or margarine
2 C Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 C milk
1 egg, beaten
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with shortening & flour; set aside. Mix flour, Pioneer or Big Chief Sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese. In a separate bowl, break egg and add milk; mix well. Add combined milk and egg; mix just until moistened. Bake for 45 minutes. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan.
