Banana-Toffee Blondies Banana-Toffee Blondies

Ingredients
1 1/2 C all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 C butter, softened
1 3/4 C Pioneer Golden Light Brown Sugar, packed
1 1/2 T vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 1/4 C Werther’s Originals, crushed - divided
1 C bananas, finely diced (1/8 -1/4-inch cubes)

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and lightly flour an 8-inch square pan.

Step 1: Sift together flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
Step 2: In another bowl, beat butter and sugar with a mixer until fluffy.
Step 3: Add vanilla extract.
Step 4: Beat in eggs briefly, one at a time, until blended.
Step 5: Add flour mixture a little at a time, beating on low speed just until blended.
Step 6: By hand, stir in 1 cup Werther’s bits and bananas.
Step 7: Pour into prepared pan.
Step 8: Sprinkle remaining 1/4 C toffee bits on top.
Step 9: Bake for 30 minutes.
Step 10: Cool, then remove from pan and cut into 8 to 10 squares.
