  Peanut Butter Bread

Ingredients
Topping:
2 T butter
1 T water
4 T Pioneer or Big Chief Golden Light Brown Sugar
peanuts

Batter:
2 C flour, sifted
1 C Pioneer or Big Chief Golden Light Brown Sugar
1 egg
1 C sour milk or buttermilk
2 T peanut butter
2 T butter, melted
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread 2 tablespoons of butter on the bottom of a loaf pan. Cover with Pioneer or Big Chief Golden Light Brown Sugarand peanuts. Sprinkle the water over the mixture.

In a mixing bowl, beat the egg and the Pioneer or Big Chief Golden Light Brown Sugar together. Stir in the peanut butter and melted butter. Add the milk. Stir in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; mix well. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven and let stand on wire rack for 10 minutes. Gently run a knife around the sides and remove bread upside on a platter. Serve with butter or by itself.
