Beet Molasses is a co-product of the sugarbeet industry, and offers a valuable feed resource to the cattle and fermentation industries. Beet Molasses is the residual liquid left over from the sugar extraction process, providing an excellent source of carbohydrates for livestock.
CONDENSED MOLASSES SOLUBLES (CMS)
Our Bay City plant has the capability of de-sugaring molasses. CMS is the liquid co-product resulting from the de-sugaring process. Our CMS is used as a liquid cattle feed, as a corrosion inhibitor, as a dust control material, and as a binder for briquetting and/or pelleting dry materials. CMS is available in either tank-truck or tank-car quantities.
BETAINE
Betaine is used in poultry, turkey, and swine feeds. Betaine functions as an osmo-protector and increases gut elasticity to prevent rupturing during processing. For plants, Betaine reduces the freezing point when applied to the leaves of the plant and also functions as an osmo-protector during periods of stress. Betaine is available in either tank-truck or tank-car quantities.
Our co-products are marketed by Midwest Agri-Commodities, a cooperative comprised of Michigan Sugar Company, American Crystal Sugar Company, Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative, and Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative. Additional information can be obtained at www.mwagri.com
