We are always eager for people to learn more about who we are and what we do. So, starting with our 2017 Campaign, we are offering public tours of our Bay City facility. We are excited to show you more about Michigan Sugar Company, our growers and our factory operations!
Each tour is approximately an hour and a half long, and is limited to 10 people at a time. The tour includes some stairs, about a mile of walking. Tour participants must be at least 18 years of age, sign a liability waiver and release, follow all rules and instructions provided by tour guides, and follow the tour dress guidelines listed below.*
- Participants must wear sturdy footwear that covers the entire foot. No open-toed shoes, clogs or high heels.
- Participants must wear appropriate clothing. No shorts, skirts or sleeveless shirts are allowed.
- Photography and videography are not allowed on the tour.

Michigan Sugar Company’s Bay City factory was originally built in 1901, first named the German-American Sugar Company. Quite a bit has changed since then!
*Michigan Sugar Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel a tour at any time, for any reason. We also reserve the right to refuse or terminate participation in a tour if a participant, for any reason (including, without limitation), fails to follow all tour rules, guidelines, and instructions.
