Michigan Sugar Company has an opportunity for an Agricultural Maintenance & Piling Ground Supervisor.  This position, reporting to the Agricultural Maintenance Manager, will have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preventive maintenance, repair and capital projects of equipment in an assigned beet receiving district
  • Provide daily direction and oversight to maintenance personnel
  • Develop and manage the labor and maintenance budget
  • Procurement of maintenance materials, parts and supplies, along with ensuring the accuracy of the parts inventory
  • Oversee the beet receiving operations during the sugarbeet harvest, including piler efficiency and optimization
  • Management of sugarbeet pile storage which includes monitoring piles, blending beets when needed and managing ventilation
  • Hire, train, and manage both maintenance and seasonal personnel

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience; have a proven track record in supervising both maintenance and production personnel; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
